THE INSPIRING SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER

'Fearne Cotton is a tireless seeker of the truth, and a wonderful communicator of sanity, hope, and (most refreshingly of all) reality。 This is, simply put, a beautiful book。'
Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love and Big Magic

'During a time where misinformation is spreading faster than ever and people are finding it hard to keep it real, Fearne shows us the power of living in our truth。 She has a magical way of making us feel understood through her compelling storytelling, while showing us a path to a more authentic life。' Vex King, author of Good Vibes, Good Life

'This book is going to help a lot of people。' Philippa Perry, author of The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read

'Loved it - without judgement, but with a cheeky wink of wisdom, Fearne gives you the tools that she's learned on her own journey。' Skin, Skunk Anansie

'We need truth talkers more than we ever have right now。 Wild, bold, connected truth talkers。 Fearne takes our hand and shows us how to be one by treading the wild, vulnerable path first。' Sarah Wilson, author of First, We Make the Beast Beautiful

Fearne Cotton's voice is familiar to millions, whether that's through television, radio or on her hugely successful Happy Place podcast。 Her voice is her career, her livelihood and the way she communicates with her audience and her loved ones。 So, when Fearne's doctor told her she was at risk of needing a throat operation followed by two weeks of being unable to speak, she found herself facing a period of unexpected contemplation。

As she considered what silence would mean, Fearne began to think about other times her voice had gone unheard - as a young woman, as 'just the talent', as the foil to louder, more dominant figures。 She found herself wondering, at what point do we internalise this message, and start silencing ourselves? When do we swallow down our authentic words to become pleasers and compromisers at the cost of our own happiness or wellbeing? Speak Your Truth dives into all the ways we learn to stay quiet for the wrong reasons, and explores how to find your voice, assert yourself and speak out with confidence。

Brave, vulnerable and deeply personal, Speak Your Truth shares Fearne's compelling story and helps you to shape your own。

There’s nothing ground breaking here but it’s all really authentic & relatable, & therefore inspiring。 Creating time to hear/listen/read the simple things, & sit with them for a while, has a huge impact。 I borrowed this one from my local library but will definitely be buying it to come back to as & when I need a reminder/top-up of inspiration。 Well done, Fearne。

DNF。 Love the sentiment but couldn’t connect with the heart of the book。

A great book, definitely worth the read or listen, especially for those people (me included) who later on go ‘aw I should have said something there and then’ or just goes along with things and doesn’t say anything so to not make a fuss。

My first ever time reading a self help kind of book。 But I completely fell in love with it。 Spent my week reading through it chapter at a time whilst listening to happy place on Spotify and I’m hooked。 Fearnes brutal honesty with herself in this book is incredible and she gives fantastic analogy’s with her points。Really enjoyed and can’t wait to read more of her work and start to say more truths myself!

I enjoy a self help book now and then。 I have read Fearne’s other books and enjoyed them so decided to listen to this。 Great when out walking, she discusses finding your truth, slowing down and being yourself。 I really liked it。

"You don't need to have or achieve anything to feel worthy。 Our worth is simply already there。" Yes Fearne!! Been recommending this book to everyone! She hits the nail on the head about the truths we tell ourselves and about how to comunicate your truth with others。 It was just a good, honest read that is relatable for everyone really。 "You don't need to have or achieve anything to feel worthy。 Our worth is simply already there。" Yes Fearne!! Great wisdomFearne speaks openly about being vulnerable and human and I think we all need more of this in our lives to help us to be just who we are。

Ok, the book is well-written and so much of it makes sense。 I think we can all relate to a lot of what Fearne speaks of。 But, I do think she has a life a majority of us DON’T have and therein lies the problem with her books in general。 We don’t all have lots of friends, a husband/family, money, therapists-on-tap, etc etc。 Most of us who suffer with our mental health struggle to get seen by anyone。 I also wonder who this book was written for。 It’s not exactly self-help cos I didn’t get any help o Ok, the book is well-written and so much of it makes sense。 I think we can all relate to a lot of what Fearne speaks of。 But, I do think she has a life a majority of us DON’T have and therein lies the problem with her books in general。 We don’t all have lots of friends, a husband/family, money, therapists-on-tap, etc etc。 Most of us who suffer with our mental health struggle to get seen by anyone。 I also wonder who this book was written for。 It’s not exactly self-help cos I didn’t get any help out of it myself so I guess it was a bit of therapy for herself。 Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed reading it, I just found it a little frustrating。 。。。more

Not quite what I was expecting。 I enjoyed learning more about Fearne's life but at times it seemed a bit all over the place。 Definitely reminded me to always be honest and speak my truth which is something that I struggle with so it helped me in that way。 Not quite what I was expecting。 I enjoyed learning more about Fearne's life but at times it seemed a bit all over the place。 Definitely reminded me to always be honest and speak my truth which is something that I struggle with so it helped me in that way。 。。。more

I felt this book was more about Ferne than I anticipated。 But that’s fine it’s good she used examples of real life situations to link to her comments。 Iv certainly taken bits away and found some strength through this book!

Jennifer

I enjoyed the challenges of this audio book。 Ferne expresses herself well and encourages you to examine your thought processes and decisions and how you portray yourself in the world。

I have such mixed opinions about this book!! I don't read a lot of self help books so I can't say that I'm an expert in the genre but as a fan of Fearne's Podcast I thought her book would be amazing but it turned out to be。。。questionable?Positives:The book's message is amazing and Fearne really opens up about some of her experiences in life that are intimate and really shows her thought process about what she thinks truth and life really is。 Its was fascinating and educational to see how someone I have such mixed opinions about this book!! While this book is amazing and is so informative I personally like something which is deeper ❤️I connected with a lot of things but do feel a lot of things from her other books are repeated。 Still an amazing self help book though x

I enjoyed。 Maybe not the deepest book about speaking our truth, but nevertheless a valuable one。 Like a chat with a good friend, where you can feel seen and heard and occasionally having some "aha moments。" I enjoyed。 Maybe not the deepest book about speaking our truth, but nevertheless a valuable one。 Like a chat with a good friend, where you can feel seen and heard and occasionally having some "aha moments。" 。。。more

I’m going to say this is one of the best books I have listened to。 Fearne’s breathtaking honesty is medicine to the soul。 I really enjoyed it both because it was such an eye opening look into her life and because it showed how to look truthfully at my own and learn from it in ways I never imagined before

Wow!! This book really does get you thinking about your truth and how to treat it and how you may be hiding it。 It definitely grounded me while reading and has such a smoothing mood and will be re reading in times when this is needed

I enjoyed listening to the audiobook and Fearne’s anecdotes were interesting to hear。 I am sure this book will be hugely helpful to people on a journey of self-discovery and to those learning to speak up, be themselves and not living life to please others。

Enjoyable read, some insights into Ferns life to help realise where your own mindset is at, and you don't always have to agree to everything。 Enjoyable read, some insights into Ferns life to help realise where your own mindset is at, and you don't always have to agree to everything。 。。。more

Thank you so much Fearne Cotton, for this inspiring and thought provoking book。 It has made me think about my own life, and how I haven’t been speaking my truth。 I feel like my whole life has just been a lie, but now I’m ready to change。
